This event is a collaboration between Improbable Comedy and Seven Black Minutes. Our mission is to unite the community through exceptional live comedy while showcasing the diverse talent of Silver Spring. Lineup Anthony Oakes, co-creator and host, brings his unique southern humor from North Carolina to the DC area. His clean yet edgy storytelling style promises to engage audiences with laughter. Jasmine Burton is a Los Angeles-based attorney and comedian, now residing in Washington, DC. Known for her energetic delivery and sharp punchlines, she seamlessly merges her legal expertise with her comedic performances. Elizabeth Booker Houston is an emerging standup comedian from Memphis, currently based in the DC metro area. Influenced by her career as a lawyer, her comedy often delves into political and dark themes. She actively engages audiences on social media under the handle @bookersquared. Justin Justo Brooks is a dynamic comedian and writer who has garnered attention for his thought-provoking humor. A multiple comedy competition winner, he has opened for renowned comics, contributing to his rapid rise in the DMV comedy scene. Timmy Hall, a retired Baltimore City Police Officer, uniquely combines his law enforcement background with comedy. Known as the "Comic Cop," his high-energy performances have earned him respect among top comedians and national recognition. This event serves as the launch of SPRUNG!, a four-day comedy festival presented by Improbable Comedy.
